So I looked further into it again I found out it could also be caused by a bent usb so I looked at all my ports and nothing looked out of the ordinary. So I'm thinking it's the rear panel of my motherboard if so I would have to get a new mother board or get my usb's replaced and I also read that the metal plate that labels everything on that back could be causing the issue.
So if anyone can help me with this I would be so happy. Hellfire13 Champion. Apr 20, 11, 7 54, 2, I've done the charging thing before, just very rarely. The past week or two I've done it times, though. And I was doing it a lot around the time I started getting the first warnings.
I did it for like six hours yesterday.

And again, disconnecting the front panel connectors hasn't changed anything. I've been unable to turn the computer on since creating this thread and this remains the case.
OTHER WAYS TO FIX THE USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT STATUS DETECTED ERROR
I will probably just get it to a repair shop as soon as I can If you try unplugging the front panel USB ports do the 2. That should help determine if it's the motherboard or the front panel connectors-- and if so, which set of front panel connectors. I assume you've also checked the front panel connectors themselves, as well as the motherboard, for signs of physical damage including overheating?
I've already tried all possible combinations of front panel connections and there was no change.

There are no visible signs of physical damage on the front panel connectors. What do you mean by signs of overheating? Like melting? Discoloration of the wiring or pins, yes. However if you've tried all possible combinations already and it doesn't boot even the front panel USB completely disconnected , then the motherboard is probably toast. Thanks for the replies. I've tried turning on the computer again a few times to see if the issue would pass, but I get the same error message.
Both USB front panel connectors are still unplugged.
For reference, the screen I am seeing is the one seen in https: So, if I understand you correctly, you're saying the iPhone forces the motherboard to provide more power than it's supposed to? This isn't correct.

These devices determine how much power they can safely draw via detecting if the port supports a higher power delivery level via USB-PD, Qualcomm QC, or some older method , and if the port doesn't signal that it can supply more power, the device will not draw more than that default USB amount. If the iPhone is drawing more power than the port supports, it's because the motherboard design is defective, and signals that it supports more power than it is safe to supply.
This is theoretically possible, but unlikely. Either way, I've lost a lot of respect for Asus products since buying the motherboard in question a ZA. A year ago, the first version of the same motherboard turned up stone-dead due to static electricity from headphones I am still convinced that static electricity was the cause as the computer shut off the instant I plugged in a set of headphones that I always kept in my pocket when not using them and now I get hit with this bullshit.

When buying this PC, I went for Asus as the default option because I figured I would get the same kind of reliability. I have been sorely disappointed so far. Any non-junk device is capable of being charged at the rate a bog standard USB port provides Non-junk iPhones draw too much while running to also charge on 1A, or at least it would take roughly forever. I know my car GPS requires more than 1A to turn on longer than a couple minutes until the battery drains. Wise, Aged Ars Veteran et Subscriptor.
